2022 NW Cup Finals – Mountain Bikes Member Blogs


It has been an extended season and this final weekend introduced a near our wonderful 2022 NW Cup race season.  Lovely, all the time sunny Port Angeles, WA hosted the ultimate cease of the season and it was wonderful. Good temps, a respite from the smoke additional east, and nice sunshine greeted riders for some quick dry trails. This was an ideal near the season that had us race throughout Washington, Idaho, and Montana.

On the finish of the day Cole Suetos and Taylor Ostgaard took the Professional wins, with Asa Vermette and Aletha Ostgaard taking the Juniors.  As has been a traditional story this season, Asa additionally had the quickest time of the day taking 4 seconds out of the Professional Males’s time, in addition to Aletha placing 14 seconds into her sister.  The Juniors are FAST, and the way forward for our sport is powerful!

With over 400 racers attending the occasion, over three quarters of the riders had been Cat 2 and Cat 3 racers, many younger children.  It’s secure to say that racing is powerful within the PNW and we look ahead to many extra races with our NW Cup household having nice weekends racing one another and having a BLAST!

The Declan Ervin award represents achievements each on the observe and off. It’s in reminiscence of a younger man that displayed these skills in abundance. Presenting this award to Asa and Aletha this 12 months highlights each their bike ability and character.
